The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Country Controller - Germany (m/w/*) will report directly to the EMEA Controller and will be the key contact for several stakeholders within the Country for all Finance matters. The role will interface with Local & Regional Leaders, EMEA/Global Finance Leaders and External Finance partners on several topic.

As a Country Controller (m/w/*) for Germany, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supervise the activities of the Local Finance organization
  • Responsible to produce accurate and timely financial statements (income statement and balances sheet) in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local laws
  • Work closely with the BPO team to ensure smooth transition of assigned activities and resolve gaps and challenges
  • Oversight of the country statutory financial statement preparation
  • Oversight of country treasury and tax operations if country does not have global tax and/or treasury organization presence
  • Managing the timely, clear and concise communication of material items impacting the finance results
  • Solventum liaison for audit, tax and financial regulatory bodies
  • Statutory responsibilities – representation rights for country, local signatory, local authorities (customs, tax etc.)
  • Responsible for our collaboration with PwC

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Extensive experience in finance organization and accounting processes
  • Leadership experience in managing and coordinating teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaboration with different stakeholders at all levels
  • Pragmatic, result oriented with strong bias towards executing with speed, agility and quality
  • Outstanding integrity, initiative and passion
  • Knowledge of SAP environment and Power BI reporting
  • Fluent German and English

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in the MedTech Industry
  • Knowledge of ORACLE environment
  • Knowledge of any EMEA language (other than English & German)

Work location: Remote or Hybrid within Germany

Travel: May include up to 5% international
